Maybe a vehicle software upgrade is needed for this feature to work?

Yeah, looks like it. But I'm on version 4.1 so I guess I'll just wait patiently :-)

Hi Everybody,
Here is a link to a real life ID.7 being 'remote parked'
Spent ages with VW customer services who could not tell me if V4 of the software could handle thsi.
I eventually found a very helpful lady at a VW dealership who looked into it and told me that Europe now has this feature on the ID.7 with V5 software, but nobody knows if it will come to UK!

What software version is your ID.7 running? I think you need 5.0.

Update: Does not appear as an option on my new ID.7 sadly.

App has very little besides charging and air con for me. Disappointingly basic. However, I'm enjoying the car overall and get it to park itself for me at work most days.

My id7 tourer is software v5 but still no option in parking settings for remote. Parking assist with memory function working fine. Very confused.

Did you select the assist pack? You need the assist pack to have Parking Assist Pro with remote control

I’m assuming so. I’ve got the lane assist, adaptive cruise control, park assist with memory function etc and they all work well. It just seems to be the remote/mobile aspect of the park assist that isn’t available
