Hi all. I've had my ID7 for two weeks, and continue to be unable to login to the car fully (see attached photo). Lots of back and forth with WV but still no join... Anyone else experienced this...

Have you signed up on the VW website? You need an active weconnect account.

Had the same issue, also 2 weeks of pain! I did get the following from the VW Connect Support team and followed it to the letter, but didn't work. Did it again and it did. The real issue I suspect is Mobile coverage. I live in an area with very poor 3G, let alone 4G or 5G. The final initialisation was completed in an are with really good 4G/5G coverage. Give it a go!
Please follow the steps, as listed, to attempt to resolve the malfunction:
• Enter your vehicle and switch the ignition on.
• Check if the LED SOS light located near your rear view mirror is lit up green permanently, if not a workshop visit will be necessary, should this be a frequent event.
• Bring the vehicle online by enabling (toggling on) your vehicle's location data and data usage (the first two options under Menu>Users>Settings>Privacy settings), make sure the globe is white (not crossed out) and the navigation arrow is displayed near it.
If all preconditions are met but you are still facing the same issue, please try the following:
• Login to your profile in the vehicle's infotainment.
• Perform a soft reset of the infotainment system, by holding the infotainment power button until the screen goes off and then turns back on (approximately 20 seconds).
• Keep the ignition on for 3 minutes.
• Exit and lock the vehicle for a minimum of 15 seconds. Kindly note that the vehicle needs to be parked in an open space with strong mobile reception signal.

Weeks and weeks later, and it's still going. The thing is the car knows when I've signed in after scanning the QR code as the screen immediately moves on on the car. Then I get the error message, and limited service in the app... Very annoying now as stopping me moving to intelligent octopus
Hey.
My ID7 was delivered yesterday, and for the first hour or so, I was having the same issues as listed above. After a conversation with the VW people on the phone, it was determined that for some reason, the agent I ordered the car with, had not updated the system with a delivery date for the vehicle. It was just left blank.
I then had to phone up the business agent I ordered the car with (The main dealer couldn't deal with business leases) and all they needed to do was input a date the car was delivered (or even arrived in the UK)
The agent did this on there internal systems, then 2 minutes later, I tried to register again, and it worked straight away.
Give the person you ordered the car with a ring and just check there is a delivery date inputted in their internal systems. This did the trick for me

EVENTUALLY got there. Over a 1000 miles into ownership. No idea what they did. I did ask for some insight into what they were actually trying, but always got very clinical, AI type responses. If anyone else ever struggles with this, let me and I'll send you the VW case ticket number.
Means I'm now on intelligent octopus which I'm happy about and works beautifully.
